The market ramp-up of electric vehicles has increased the need for reliable tools to simulate electromobility profiles. In the literature, electromobility profiles are often simulated from the perspective of electric vehicles. In contrast, this paper takes the charging point’s perspective. By random sampling in the context of a Monte Carlo simulation, charging processes at high power charging points in Baden-Wuerttemberg are simulated. For this purpose, real data on the usage behavior of the respective charging points is used, among other resources. By aggregating, load profiles cannot only be simulated at individual charging points but also at charging clusters. This makes it possible to estimate loads at charging points without having to perform measurements. The load profiles can be used, for example, in grid planning and operation. The simulated load profiles of the charging clusters are at all times far below the nominal load of the charging clusters, which is of great importance for the dimensioning of the grid connection of charging clusters.
