The paper presents study for converters, designed for voltage equalization in energy storage system, made out of connected in series lithium ion sells. The concept of charging the battery uses resonant converters. The obtained results are verified ones by computer simulations and second by testing on a laboratory stand. A comparison is made between different voltage equalization methods by using resonant inverters, operating in ZVS and ZCS modes. The characteristics of the presented algorithms are compared.
