This paper investigates about the benefits of introducing an RC-DC snubber in a full SiC Half-Bridge multi-chip power module from STMicroelectronics. Differently than existing literature on this topic, here the focus is on the reduction of voltage peaks and ringing on the body-diode during turn-on. First, simulations have been performed in Ansys Electronic Desktop tool in order to design the RC network. Then, experimental measurements have been performed and compared with simulations to validate the design.
