This study introduces a novel approach for real-time high-frequency modeling of Electric Drive Systems using an Unscented Kalman Filter. It accurately estimates the parasitic capacitance of AC cables, motors, and power switches under actual operational conditions while traditional oflline models fail to capture the true high-frequency characteristics of the Electric Drive Systems, leading to errors in Electromagnetic Interference studies or unnecessary over-design of EMI Filters. This over-design results in added weight and volume, compromising the efficiency of electric vehicles. Hence, real-time estimation of parasitic elements is crucial for precise EMI analyses and the optimization of system efficiency. Additionally, the paper conducts a sensitivity analysis on the impact of parasitic capacitances on EMI level of the system, guiding the development of targeted reduction strategies to comply with strict Electromagnetic Compatibility standards in automotive industry.
