Operating a LVDC distribution grid, to increase the insertion of native DC users, implies to respect the selectivity of the grid. Such a constraint has direct consequences on the sizing of the components and available converter topologies. In this paper, a novel topology is proposed. Based on high current parallel diode, this topology allows to maintain components within their operating range by adjusting the diode parameters. Experimental observations validate the simulation results, while a first technical-economic analysis highlights the interest of this solution compared to a traditional oversizing approach.
