The modern power converter-dominated grid requires high-accuracy electromagnetic transients (EMT) simulation in very large scale. State-of-the-art real-time (RT) simulation systems can provide either high-accuracy EMT simulation in converter level or large-scale root mean square (RMS) simulation in power grid level. In this paper a novel software tool and RT simulation system, which fulfils both requirements in high-accuracy and large-scale of modern converter-dominated grid, is introduced and demonstrated by a case study. With this simulation system, a multiple research and verification, i.e., fault ride-through (FRT), etc. can be performed inpark- and grid-level.
