Inhalt:
This paper presents analytic calculation and simulation models as well as prototype measurements of an axial flux permanent magnet synchronous machine (AFPM). The design is a single gap topology with tooth windings for usage in micromobility vehicles as an in-wheel drive (IWD) without a gear. Calculation and simulation tools used were SPEED(r) from the Star-CCM Suite(r) and Comsol Multiphysics(r). After completion of the prototype manufacture, the machine behaviour is validated by no-load and open loop U/f-operation.
