Power Module’s form factor and its current sensor integration is one of the key points to enable high power density in battery-powered traction motor drive and On/Off-board chargers. This paper considers the design, integration and experimental validation of LEM Nano current sensor designed to enable an All-in-one solution of Danfoss’ (Direct Cooled Molded) DCM(TM) platform, utilizing latest generation of 750V and 1200V SiC-MOSFET, with a current rating ranging from 200A to 800A. Some initial study and prototype level integration will be shown to introduce the novel design. Complete study, calibration and experimental results including PWM closed loop operation will be provided together with the overall electrical performances to validate the proposed advanced packaging solution for power electronic applications.
