Chinese Localized Revision of the Coach-Athlete Relationship Scale (CART-Q)

The coach-athlete relationship has an important impact on the athlete's training, life and sports performance. Therefore, many foreign sports psychologists try to devote themselves to research in this field, but there are few relevant researches in China. The British sports psychologist Jowett recently proposed the 3C theory and the CART-Q scale. The author of this paper proves that the scale is suitable for Chinese coaches and athletes through research. Aiming at the particularity of China's national system and the influence of traditional culture on coaches and athletes, this study revised the original scale and obtained the psychometric data of the Chinese revised version of the scale. The study found that the revised version of CART-Q has better reliability and validity than the translated version in China.
