This document is a model and instructions for difference of the spread of bubonic plague between rural areas and urban areas in the world. In this paper, the researcher uses 2 compartmental models including rural people, urban people and rats. Compared to classical models that only use one compartmental model, applying two models can make the simulation more accurate and real. What’s more, the use of generation matrix in this work to calculate R0 is another innovative way to analyze the results. The model is employed to simulate the spread of bubonic plague in rural and urban areas under different degree of human control of the disease. With a deep investigation of the correlation between the difference of sanitary conditions and infection rate, it reveals the importance of eliminating bubonic plague as well as suggesting the effective measures to fulfill this goal include effective deratization and improve health condition particularly in rural areas.
