Wireless power transfer (WPT) technology with non-physical contact effectively solves traditional power transfer problems. High efficiency and power density is the development trend of WPT. In this paper, a novel magnetic coupling mechanism of the WPT system for mining, seabed, and aerospace is designed. The magnetic flux density of the inner and outer cylinders of the coupling mechanism is different. Therefore, the reasonable design of the magnetic core size can greatly reduce the magnetic loss and weight. In addition, a series-none resonant topology is used to reduce the complexity of the secondary circuit. Finally, the size of the coupling mechanism is limited to Φ 70 ×70 mm, and the simulation results show that the system realizes 4.3kW power transmission at a 10mm transmission distance, and the efficiency is 86.1%.
