The risk of petrochemical ships is an important factor affecting marine ecology and port security. In this paper, we combine the best of the analytic hierarchy process and the approaching ideal solution sorting method to evaluate the ship risk. In order to overcome the subjectivity of weight assignment to a certain extent, we innovatively introduce triangular fuzzy numbers to measure the confidence of experts in this paper. Firstly, 15 representative ships were selected for risk assessment according to the data of ships operating in a petrochemical port. Secondly, we select personnel factors, ship factors and management factors to establish a petrochemical ship risk evaluation index system, and use expert scoring and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) to determine the weight of each index. Finally, the ranking result of ship risk is calculated by the method of Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). The results of this study can be used as a reference for petrochemical ship scheduling in waterways, ports and anchorages.
