Aiming at the problem of insufficient automation level of version management of smart substation automation equipment, a novel technical solution for management system is proposed in this paper. The new technical solution builds basic version and extended version information for equipment, and comprehensively improves the technical level of version management for automatic equipment through four dimensions: information model, parameter file, hardware version, and software version. This method effectively improves the automatic management level of automation equipment version, and is worthy of popularization and application.
