Development and Application of BIM Technology in Intelligent Construction

With the advent of the digital information age, it is difficult for the traditional architectural design process to match the information technology conditions and requirements of today’s industry. Therefore, BIM technology has been gradually applied in the field of intelligent construction and has become an advanced technical means applied in international construction projects. However, due to the inconsistent development of political systems and industry conditions among countries, the development status of BIM technology differs in various countries. Through an overview of the characteristics of BIM technology and a comparative analysis of the development and application of BIM technology at home and abroad, this paper discusses the application prospect of BIM technology in intelligent construction engineering and its future development in China’s construction industry.
