The human living environment had become fragile due to "greenhouse effect", the effect was mainly caused by carbon emissions. Countries were committed to changing this situation. China had also proposed the target of "carbon neutrality and peak". Oil production was one of the main sources of greenhouse gas. While reducing emissions, it was necessary to make full use of exhaust gases to help oil extraction, to realize utilization and sequestration. For verifying that CO2 could effectively store while displacing, lab experiments was utilized to carry out CO2 injection gravity flooding and sequestration with the help of the unique geological structure in high-angle buried hill Z reservoir. It shown that stable miscible displacement can be achieved, the volume of oil expanded by 98.2% and viscosity decreased by 75% after CO2 injection. Permeability and seep ability of formation was improved by the action of CO2 in corrosion, due to the difference densities, CO2 would formed a stable gas cap at the top, oil was continuously displaced downward to form gas gravity flooding, and the ultimate recovery factor can be increased by 12.9 %, 92.5 % of the CO2 was buried.
