A review of applied research conducted on aspects related to the efficiency and versatility of household photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems is presented. In photovoltaic power generation systems, the inverter is one of the core parts of the photovoltaic power generation system, and the most important technical bottleneck of the grid-connected inverter is that the interference it generates affects the normal operation of the system. In order to improve the efficiency, reliability, power density and achieve maximum power transmission of the inverter, in-depth research and optimization of the new circuit topology design, high-frequency switching technology, intelligent control technology, soft-switching technology, intelligent detection and protection, modularity, and electromagnetic compatibility of the inverter for photovoltaic power generation systems are required.
