Equalization circuit is necessary for lithium ion batteries. A battery autonomous equalization topology based on energy bus is studied. The expressions of equalization efficiency and equalization time are derived through circuit analysis, and the influence trend of both circuit component parameters and clock frequency on equalization efficiency and equalization time is summarized based on the expressions. A set of optimal circuit parameters can be obtained by compromise method to ensure both high equalization efficiency and short equalization time. Saber software was used to build demo of this equalization circuit, which contains six batteries. The simulation results verify therotical analysis above.
