Rational partitioning method of power grid for control system is important. In a power system, the lines with similar power compositions are closely related to each other. There is a high risk of cascading overloads among them in the case of heavy loads or lines broken. A partitioning method for the security and stability control system in power grid is introduced in this study. The method can promote the clustering of transmission lines in close association, improve the work efficiency of master stations of control systems and ensure the safe and stable operation of power grids. The simulation results shows the effectiveness of the method.
