With the rapid development of Internet technology, map-based interactive system has been widely used. However, the research on meteorological map in our country is more embodied in computer science and mapping, and there is no systematic, normative and pertinent theoretical research on the basis of cognitive theory. Based on the spatial cognitive theory, this paper studies the visual representation of wind map, applies the wind map to the data visualization system of power grid, and designs a data visualization platform of typhoon protection network based on wind map. The design practice and results show that the data visualization system based on wind map can display the typhoon information more intuitively, improve the decision-making efficiency of power grid staff, and improve the typhoon prevention level of power grid system.
