Aquaculture vessels need to have excellent product form on the basis of solving the problems of fish breeding, water quality detection and fish health detection. This paper proposes an efficient computer-aided modeling design framework of aquaculture vessel to complete the rapid iteration of hull form design. This study integrates engineering design and evaluation research, and makes an empirical study on the overall shape design in the stage of product development. The case application successfully demonstrates that product from design process combined with the framework strategy of CAID, it can provide good results in predicting design decision-making. This framework can be used as a new design decision-making method to guide design practice and provide supporting objective data, so as to reduce the influence of subjectivity, one-sided and superficiality in decision-making. With the application of CAID technology, the aquaculture vessel design project has finally achieved excellent product appearance design.
