Inhalt:
An improved version of the previously published digitally adjustable gate resistor is presented. The main objective is to provide a fast possibility to sweep through different gate-resistor-values in order to identify the optimal value for a given driver-implementation. Therefore, the device is equipped with imperial 0805-pad compatible connectors. The improved version has significantly reduced parasitic inductances resulting in better approximation of the necessary fixed gate-resistor with drastically lower time- and soldering-expense compared to empiric attempts. The effect of parasitic capacitances on the DAR is investigated in detail.
