This paper analyses the difference in the performance of BMW M3 and Chevrolet Cavalier in two conditions of turning: U-turn and lane change. The basic knowledge of Newton’s second Law of physics over force, moment and torque balance is used to derive the force equations. Python is used to output force functions and plots of turning displacements, turning angles, reacting forces, and trajectory of the vehicles analysed. The results show that although Chevrolet Cavalier is capable of turning in smaller time range, BMW M3 experiences smaller difference in forces on both front and rear tires than what Chevrolet Cavalier experiences, and it is more capable of completing sharp turns than Chevrolet if all conditions are the same.
