The ether a go-go-1(Eag1) channel has been shown to be overexpressed in a variety of cancers. The activation of p53 by nutlin-3 induced cell growth arrest and reduced Eag1 protein level. However, the regulatory dynamics between p53 network and Eag1 is unclear. In this study, mRNA levels of p53 and Eag1 regulated by Nutlin-3 were observed in longterm. The results showed that p53 and Eag1 have strong regulatory relationships, and p53 can reduce the expression level of Eag1 in a short time, and the expression level of Eag1 changes with the concussion of p53 expression. This result will help us understand the regulation dynamics of p53 and Eag1.
