A test bench will be presented, capable of running long duration tests with RC-IGBTs in a 6.5 kV Full Bridge Inverter at up to 800A. The primary purpose is to verify the of long duration working ability for new IGBT technologies and experimental driver set-ups. Initially tested with commercial IGBTs, one half-bridge of the inverter is now fully equipped with RC-IGBTs, and a complete set of IGBT-Drivers designed to proivide static and dynamic MOS-Control for the Semiconductor has been build. Besides measurements, the strategy to externally monitor the RC-IGBTs-Drivers operation will be presented
