Inhalt:
This paper presents an analysis of different load models used in a reliability study on a distribution test system and compares their impact on the results obtained from simulations using a time sequential Monte Carlo Simulation technique. The load models used in this study consist mainly of an average, a time varying and a probabilistic load model. The accuracy of load representation affects the accuracy of the reliability analysis of a power system. The reliability is also affected by the availability of alternative supply or dispersed generation.
