Inhalt:
The authors will present software defined radio (SDR) and cognitive radio (CR) design paradigms. Setting out from trends, services, systems and networks, a pragmatic approach to the deployment of reconfigurability will be given. Also, current and anticipated trends in semiconductor technologies for wireless applications will be pointed out. Furthermore, examples of flexible RF-transceivers and SDR concepts, e.g. the FALCON (Flexible Access Logic for COmmunication Networks) and the HAWK (Highly Adaptable Wireless Kit) will be described.
