At lower microwave frequencies, both ground and volume scattering must be considered for a correct interpretation and analysis of Interferometric SAR data from vegetation covered areas. The Random Volume over Ground (RVoG) model describes forest as a two layer random medium: the upper layer represents the forest canopy and is assumed to be composed of randomly oriented particles; the lower layer represents the ground surface. This model has been introduced to invert Polarimetric-Interferometric SAR (Pol-InSAR) data for the estimation of forest structure parameters, namely height, extinction, ground contribution and underlying topography. In this paper we investigate the solution of the remaining ambiguity due to ground contribution using a dual-baseline approach
