The paper presents the concept of channel equalization in Σ-Δ STAP processor for detection of slow moving objects in SAR image. The analysis and simulations presented in the paper show that the degrading effect may be very well compensated using this technique. Several filtering schemes are analyzed that differ in complexity and in the effectivity. The simplest scheme considered is based on correcting only one channel response to match the other, with two additional fast-time samples entering the STAP filter.
