Inhalt:
In this paper a model for simulating a CDMA system with clustered and uniform user distributions is implemented. A number of existing results pertaining to CDMA systems such as trade-off between throughput and interference power, decreasing carrier to interference ratio (C/I) as a function of distance and boundary effects in CDMA systems are verified. Further, a spatial analysis is performed to study the effects of these user distributions and two different data rates using higher order moments. It is shown that the two distributions have similar mean values for C/I and outage but the standard deviation for the clustered distribution is significantly higher than that for the uniform distribution.
