Coherent Quantum Key Distribution Across National Scale Telecommunication Infrastructure

Presented is the first successful integration of coherent Quantum Communications into standard telecommunication infrastructure, spanning 254 km between Frankfurt and Strasbourg. Using the Twin-Field Quantum Key Distribution protocol, a secure key exchange of 110 bit/s was achieved. This milestone demonstrates feasibility and compatibility of coherent quantum communications with existing infrastructure, advancing quantum internet prospects.
