Inhalt:
A joint beam-steered optical wireless communication and LiDAR sensing system using a highly integrated Si-SiN optical phased array (OPA), operating in the C-band, is experimentally demonstrated for the first time. The LiDAR direct frequency chirp and data intensity modulation are implemented simultaneously. Our initial proof-of-concept experiment presents the feasibility of joint communication and distance sensing over a 20(deg) angular-range.
