Black-box Optimization of Parametrically Modeled Digital Circuitry for Optical Communications

An efficient development method is required for large-scale digital signal processing implementations. The proposed design method with parametric modeling and multi-objective optimization reduces the optimization time from 300 years by brute-force search to around 2 weeks by a heuristic solver using approximation and machine learning.
