We experimentally demonstrate a single-polarization 300-Gb/s (net 242-Gb/s) OFDM 32-QAM signal transmission over an 80-km SMF with a silicon photonic modified carrier-assisted differential detection receiver, achieving a highest net ESE per polarization of 7.7-b/s/Hz for an integrated direct detection receiver.
