An equivalent circuit diagram is derived from concentrated impedances on the basis of a voxel-based high-resolution simulation. The focus here is on being able to accurately map both the heart currents and the heart power with the simplest possible network. The impedances are determined automatically using a non-linear solver algorithm. In the model conductive as well as inductive and flashover effects are taken into account. The simulation results are determined for the direct contact of a person with a down conductor to which different lightning impulse currents are applied. Both the energy and the heart current are determined for this purpose. The results show that the time at which a flashover occurs along the body has the greatest influence on the current exposure in the body and the heart of the human.
