In this work, the authors present the first experimental results of application of the methodology of field measurements for determining the frequency dependence of electrical parameters of soil by using a short cylindrical electrode to replace the hemispherical electrode of the original methodology. The work consists of the continuity of the theoretical developments by the authors that indicated the conditions for using this specific shape of electrode in the measurements, notably for preserving a negligible inductive effect and a proper respective geometrical factor. The results, in terms of the decrease of the soil resistivity and permittivity with increasing frequency, were developed for three soils (two of them exhibiting low resistivity and the third one exhibiting moderate resistivity), showed to be consistent.
