The Chang'e-7 mission will carry advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payloads for the first time in China's lunar exploration mission to achieve active, full-time, and multi-dimensional exploration of the moon. This article provides a brief introduction to the Lunar Microwave Imaging Radar (LMIR) from the perspective of system design, including its basic information, working modes, and related innovative system designs.
