Inhalt:
The paper considers the bistatic geometry and the observation parameters currently under evaluation for the ASI PLATiNO-1 bistatic SAR mission and proposes observation techniques and methods that are suitable for a long baseline bistatic SAR scenario. Several SAR techniques are investigated in this work, including incoherent combination and Doppler Centroid Anomaly (DCA) analysis of single-pass monostatic-bistatic images, passive sensing, and SAR tomography. The main goal is to define the Earth Observation (EO) products that can benefit of the long baseline bistatic geometry and so that can guarantee a significant added value with respect to the more conventional monostatic SAR capabilities.
