HISEA-1 satellite active phased array antenna is characterized by light weight and high efficiency. With description of characteristics and innovation in the active phased array antenna of the HISEA-1 satellite, this paper focuses on the analysis and discussion of unbiased longitudinal slots excited by probes, impedance bandwidth optimization model with single parameter and antenna configuration with 3D heterogeneous integration. The antenna operates at C band, and the beam scanning angle is better than ±2deg in azimuth direction and ±20deg in range direction. The antenna efficiency is better than 90%, the system noise is better than 2.4 dB, and the mass-density is better than 28.2 kg/m2. The system has been running in orbit for more than three years and is stable and reliable.
