Inhalt:
The OLED-on-Silicon technology enables integration of light sources in a CMOS semiconductor process which can be used for various applications ranging from mulimillion independently controlled light sources (e.g in a microdisplay) to single individual spots with especially designed emission spectrum for optoelectronic sensing (e.g. optical oxygen sensor). Either way all of these applications benefits from the chance to integrate tremendous number of electronic components directly in the CMOS backplane thus enabling miniaturized and very power efficient devices. Implementation examples will be presented in this paper.
