The distribution of symmetric keys between remote sites via Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) has gained increasing attention in recent years. This is due to the advancement of QKD systems and the growing threat that quantum computing poses to classical cryptography. Despite that progress, current QKD systems have limitations that need to be addressed to enable large-scale implementations. Effective maintenance of QKD networks is therefore essential. In this paper, we investigate the adaptation of path computation in large-scale quantum networks to improve the utilization of QKD resources.
