LuTan-1 is the first distributed SAR satellite constellation for natural resources monitoring of China. The satellite is about to launch in January of 2022. Main purposes of the satellite constellation include the geohazard imaging using SAR, digital elevation model generation using InSAR, the deformation monitoring using DInSAR and MTInSAR, as well as the forest monitoring using PolInSAR. Main applications, products and the corresponding satellite features are briefly described in the paper.
