Status Of The Operational Ground Motion Service Germany

Ground motions are mainly observed by terrestrial measurements. With InSAR based on Sentinel-1 data the observation of ground motions over entire countries becomes possible. In order to support the operational use of this technique a “Ground Motion Service Germany” is being built-up by the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR). The presentation will discuss the Sentinel-1 PSI data based ground motion service of Germany and different aspects of the processing including the challenges to build up a ground motion service for Germany.
