Increase the Reliability of Operation of Autonomous Supply Systems

Ongoing change in the energy sector require ever more operational of obtaining and processing information about the current state of the power system. At the same time are placing demands on the accuracy and reliability of measurements of the circuit. This requires an increasingly higher speed of obtaining and processing the information, in order to promptly estimate system state and take preventive measures to provide reliable power supply. The present paper addresses the issue of determining the coordinates of short circuit location in transmission lines. This can be achieved by digital processing of current data on currents in lines and by the use of the Rogowski coil as a primary transducer.
