Limited view reconstruction of three-dimensional defect distribution for computed radiography system

In this work we present limited angle reconstruction algorithms combined with procedure for defect detection in three dimensions. A computer radiography system is utilized for radiographic images acquisition. Image quality of the reconstruction was investigated and results obtained for simulated radiographs are provided. Numerical evaluation as well as the images and the profile show improvement in contrast recovery of defects in all range of original contrast. This provides better input for defect detection algorithms due to better contrast between background and inclusion.
