Inhalt:
In this paper, we present UWB propagation channel modeling results within an occupied aircraft cabin. The developed model is based on a measurement campaign carried out in a fully furnished mockup of a wide-bodied aircraft. Measurements were conducted in frequency domain and channel impulse responses were calculated afterwards via inverse Fourier Transform. From these data, at first the UWB channel parameters are extracted and subsequently their dependency on distance and frequency is modeled. The main focus here was the influence of passengers on the UWB radio channel. The modeling results and a comparison of the radio channel parameters inside an occupied and an empty aircraft cabin are presented.
