RFID and Privacy

There is a lot of discussion about RFID and its possible influence on privacy. Many publications concerning this subject only concerned about the technical aspects and consequently see possible solutions in encryption techniques or physical limitations of the air interface. Others see legal restrictions as final solution. It seems necessary to come to a more general approach that includes and structures all human related aspects of this new technology and its possible applications. Beside technical and legal aspects also ethical, political, cultural and economic aspects are considered within this essay.
