Guaranteeing Service Availability in Connection Provisioning

This paper deals with providing connections at minimum cost and subject to availability constraints, to fulfill service level agreements (SLAs). Novel approaches take service availability directly into account, within provisioning computations. The paper categorizes provisioning alternatives and evaluates the benefits of availability-based provisioning.
