This guideline describes the principles and procedures for calculating the pressure rise in switchgear assemblies with rated voltages greater than 1 kV AC and their installation rooms in case of an arc fault.
In accordance with the requirements of DIN EN 61936-1, the mechanical load on the building construction caused by the internal pressure rise due to an arc fault must be taken into account when planning installation rooms.
