This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 50554:2010 and establishes the basis for the in-situ assessment of the exposure of the general public and of workers to electromagnetic fields at the site of a broadcast transmitter. Hereby it is taken into account that fields from other sources can exist at this location. The standard plays an essential role in the coordination of different stakeholders, with respect to ensuring EMF exposure compliance in and around a broadcast site especially for equipment installed within the site. Specific national regulations that apply in Germany and in Italy are explained in an annex.
