This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 50476:2008 with requirements related to exposure of the general public to electromagnetic fields from HF broadcast service transmitters in the frequency range 3 MHz to 30 MHz. The objective of this standard is the demonstration of compliance of the equipment covered by this standard with the basic restrictions (Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)) or reference levels, respectively, which are specified in the Council Recommendation 1999/519/EEC for the for safety of persons in radio-frequency electromagnetic fields. The measurement and calculation methods are described in the European Standard EN 50475 which is referenced in this standard.
